Dr. Monica Hunter is the founder of MH Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in Organizational Leadership and Development. As a consultant, she has achieved great collaborative relationships with diverse organizations and communities in Western Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, and Kern Counties. Dr. Hunter can develop and implement a full range of developmental and quality enhancements within new and existing nonprofit and for-profit organizations. For example, The Fruit Of Our Hands Ministries, which she helped found with Lisa DeGennaro. The organization's mission is to help families thrive through programs built on creativity, fellowship, love, and unity--all to the glory of God.
Dr. Hunter considers herself to be a passionate community servant with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals in identifying their potential to continue and share this passion to serve others. With this ongoing quest to give, she has been able to promote significant, positive change in communities and individuals through advocacy, empowered by compassion. She takes pride in engaging in a civically based approached to community building as she commits to a life-long service based on personal and professional experiences.
Dr. Hunter is committed to engaging communities and government in dialogue about how to create viable solutions for the problems that people of color face. Dr. Hunter has always been committed to education, empowerment, and the fostering of a strong network. While serving the community as a board member for known nonprofit organizations, she was instrumental in integrating service, professionalism, and community activism into the mission and purpose of the community-based organizations in which she is affiliated. Partnerships with the Mayor’s office, educational institutions, charity fundraisers, civil and social justice advocacy projects, economic development training, membership engagement and branding, and community connection events were the hallmarks of her community affiliations. Dr. Hunter continues to find opportunities to empower and equip the Riverside community through assisting faith-based institutions, community leaders, and community members with strategies, plans, and advisement. Dr. Hunter believes that there is enough opportunity and resources for anyone to thrive and seeks out occasions to fulfill this vision.
Dr. Hunter was honored on a mural located in downtown Riverside for her work helping to better our community from IEHP and the Arts for Inland Empire, made up of the Riverside Arts Council, Arts Connection, and Music Changing Lives. Dr. Hunter has also received Certificates of Recognition for Youth and Community Development from Senator John J. Benoit, Corona-Norco Family YMCA, California Legislature Assembly, County of Riverside, Congress of the United States House of Representative, and City Council of the City of Corona.
